Twizzlers

Licorice candy is one of my favorites and Twizzlers are my favorite licorice.  So figures I would eat almost all the Twizzlers in my taste sample before I actually get to do my blog entry.  Of particular enjoyment are the Twizzlers Nibs Cherry Bits.

Licorice candy is one of my favorites and Twizzlers are my favorite licorice.  So figures I would eat almost all the Twizzlers in my taste sample before I actually get to do my blog entry.  Of particular enjoyment are the Twizzlers Nibs Cherry Bits.  This candy is simply wonderful.   They are bite size, come in a 6 oz bag for convenience and taste great.  A perfect snack, which I particularly enjoyed eating throughout the day.  The cherry bits are a perfect size allowing a few full flavor bites and then they simply melt in your mouth.   It allows for a good bite and there is no waxy taste that I have experienced in other licorice candy. 

I prefer the texture of the Twizzlers over other Licorice.   To me they are firmer yet when fresh, soft and chewing.  If Twizzlers are left to get old or even excessively cold they can get hard and tough to bite and chew. 

It is important to only buy them from a reliable candy store that only carries fresh stock. Make sure you don’t leave them in the car on a cold winter day.  Twizzlers come in many configurations such as nibs, pull and peal and bites.  Popular flavors are Twizzlers Cherry, Twizzlers Strawberry, Twizzlers Chocolate and Twizzlers Licorice (black).
